The legacy of the COVID-19 pandemic continues to resonate across the chilled food sector and is reflected in the latest market data compiled for CFA. While the rise in sales has slowed compared to pre-COVID years, there is still a 3.9 per cent year-on-year increase. CFA is developing a new online E.coli data collection system for its member companies. Data collected will focus on raw material and on irrigation water used to grow fresh produce to be eaten raw. Many thousands of samples are taken by CFA members each year, so the new system will facilitate benchmarking and potential identification of issues by members and CFA. April 2023
