Chilled Education meeting students IRL

It’s always good to get out to face to face events to chat with teachers and learners in real life. That’s exactly what CEd’s Charlotte Patrick has been doing over recent months.

Charlotte’s young scientist daughters Morgan and Tilly are often drafted in to help test store cupboard science experiments. So it’s no surprise to hear that their schools have also become involved in CEd activities.

In November Charlotte visited Morgan’s Wootton Park School to talk about CEd resources, careers and demonstrated the always-popular Glo Germ Handwash Training Kit. Feedback was good: ‘The session was engaging, helpful and allowed us to learn about hundreds of roles in the food industry’ Charlotte returned to the school for a second helping of food science conversation in January.

Tilly’s school (Preston Hedges Primary) invited Charlotte to demonstrate Glo Germing with its Year 2 and Year 6 classes. She spoke to more than 120 students and Again feedback was positive: “This was such a wonderful experience for our children! A huge thank you to Charlotte for giving up her time!”
