The production of high quality, safe foods is of prime importance to the success of the chilled food industry. To this end ECFF has prepared the first European Recommendations for the Production of Prepackaged Chilled Food. These guidelines are the backbone of industry self-regulation in Europe and have been distributed widely within the industry and to national and EU authorities. ECFF's activities address all aspects of the chilled food chain. Its technical expertise is harnessed through ad hoc working parties who produce advice and specialist reports on items of interest to members.
The following are available:-

ECFF is also active in monitoring European food policy relevant to the chilled food chain, and represents the views of the industry to the relevant European institutions, and other standards and regulatory authorities, such as FAO/WHO Codex Alimentarius Commission. ECFF was also a member of the EU Concerted Action 'Harmony' Project on minimally processed foods.
You can contact members from the details given above. Until March 2010, the Presidency and the Secretariat is the AKSV in the Netherlands.
